About The Lodge
The apartment is in a full brick and concrete, (with some metal cladding) constructed 3-4 level building, with panoramic views over the alpine wilderness and Mt Hotham.
The lodge is split level on the top floor of the block. On the lower level are the kitchen, dining, and lounge areas, drying room and three bedrooms. On the upper level are three bedrooms and the laundry.
Except for the wet areas, the lodge is fully carpeted throughout, and has thermostatically controlled central warm water heaters in the common areas and in each bedroom.
Each bedroom has its own ensuite with shower, washbasin, toilet and heater.
Ski Resorts & Entertainment
The village has a variety of restaurants, nightlife with bands, dancing or quiet bars, general store and ski hire.
In summer, the old gold towns of Beechworth and Yackandandah are worth a visit, as is the town of Bright. There are marked trails for bushwalks, and it is only a short drive to the famous wineries of northeastern Victoria.
Your Stay and Getting There
The lodge is located in the snow, so normal precautions apply. Have your vehicle prepared for alpine winter conditions, make sure the battery is in good condition, anti-freeze is correct, and the correct type of chains are carried.
It is advisable to do the drive from Harrietville to Mt Hotham during the day, as snow on the road may make visibility difficult at night.
An entrance fee must be paid to the Alpine Resorts Commission on entry to the park.
Driving time from Sydney is approximately 9 hours, and from Melbourne, 5 hours.
As you drive into Hotham Heights, go past Zirky’s and White Crystal on the left and turn right into the far end of the day carpark near the Medical Centre. The Clubs apartment is No 21 Lawlers Apartments on the hill above and beyond the Medical Centre.
